1. About these terms

These Terms and Conditions apply to use of fixbot.com.au and requests for services from Fixbot Australia Pty Ltd (ACN 700 911 584), referred to as Fixbot, we, us or our.

By using the website or submitting an enquiry, you acknowledge these terms. A separate written quote, estimate or service agreement may add specific terms for a particular job.

2. Enquiries and customer information

Customers should submit the enquiry form before requesting a repair, service, part, pickup, drop-off or quote. You are responsible for providing accurate name, phone, email, address, brand, model and problem information. We may rely on the details provided when assessing a request.

Please check your email address carefully. We generally reply to the email address entered in the form. An enquiry is not accepted work and does not guarantee availability, price, turnaround or a particular outcome.

3. Assessment, quotes and approval

Prices displayed on the website are starting prices or general information unless a written quote says otherwise. The final cost may depend on diagnosis, labour, parts, model, condition, access and any additional issue discovered.

We will seek customer approval before carrying out chargeable work beyond an agreed assessment, unless otherwise agreed in writing. A quote may expire or require review if circumstances, parts availability, taxes or supplier pricing change.

4. Repairs, parts and limitations

Repairing an electronic device cannot guarantee that every fault will be found or that the device will achieve its original performance. Existing faults, hidden damage, corrosion, water ingress, discontinued parts, software limitations or unrelated failures may affect the result.

Parts may be genuine, compatible, refurbished or otherwise described in the quote. Customers should tell us about previous repairs, modifications, passwords, accessories and known damage before service begins.

5. Customer property and data

You must remove personal data, accounts, passwords and sensitive information where practical before handing over a device. We may need reasonable access to test a device, but customers remain responsible for backups and account security.

We will take reasonable care of property in our possession. We are not responsible for data loss, pre-existing damage, ordinary wear, consumables, accessories not included in the agreed service, or damage caused by inadequate packaging or undisclosed condition.

6. Pickup and drop-off

Pickup and drop-off availability, timing and price depend on location, access, traffic, vehicle capacity and operational conditions. Any displayed fee is subject to confirmation for the relevant request. Customers should make the device available safely and provide accurate access details.

We may reschedule or decline a collection where conditions are unsafe, access is unavailable, details are inaccurate or the requested service is outside our operating capability.

7. Mail-in items, courier damage and loss

Customers sending a device to Fixbot are responsible for suitable packaging, correct postage details, insurance where desired, and retaining tracking or proof of lodgement. Customers should not send batteries, liquids or other restricted items unless the carrier permits them and we have confirmed the arrangement.

We will use reasonable care when returning a completed item and may use a third-party courier. Courier delays, loss or damage should be reported promptly with tracking information. To the extent permitted by law, Fixbot is not responsible for loss or damage caused by the customer's packaging, carrier handling before receipt, incorrect address details, or events outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Warranty and remedies

Where a written quote or service record provides a 90-day hardware warranty, that warranty applies to the repair work or hardware identified in that document, subject to its reasonable conditions and exclusions.

The warranty does not generally cover misuse, accidents, liquid damage, impact, infestation, blocked components, normal wear, consumables, unauthorised opening or repair, unrelated faults, software or app issues, or failure to follow care instructions. We may inspect the item before deciding whether a warranty claim applies.

These terms do not remove any Australian Consumer Law guarantees that apply to the goods or services. If a consumer guarantee applies, available remedies will be determined in accordance with that law.

9. Payment, collection and uncollected items

Payment timing, accepted methods and any deposit or balance will be stated in the relevant quote or communicated before completion. A device may be retained until agreed amounts are paid, to the extent permitted by law.

If an item remains uncollected after reasonable contact attempts, we may charge reasonable storage or handling costs where disclosed or permitted, and may take further steps available under law. We will attempt to contact the customer using the details provided before doing so.

10. Cancellations and changes

Customers should contact us promptly if they need to change or cancel a request. Any cancellation fee or recoverable cost will depend on work already performed, parts ordered, transport arranged and applicable law, and will be communicated where relevant.

11. Website information

We aim to keep the website accurate, but service descriptions, prices, availability, hours, brands, images and links may change without notice. Website content is general information and is not a diagnosis, quote, legal advice or guarantee of a repair outcome.
